My Professional Goals
As I transition from a nursing student to a professional registered nurse, I am deeply committed to continuous growth, clinical excellence, and lifelong learning. My specific professional goals include:
- Short-Term Goal: I plan to start my nursing career on a medical-surgical floor. This environment will allow me to build a strong, well-rounded foundation of clinical skills, master time management, and apply my empirical knowledge to provide safe, holistic care to a diverse patient population.
- Mid-Term Goal: Once I have established a solid foundation in acute care, my goal is to eventually move into a critical care role within the Emergency Department (ED). I want to apply my ability to remain mindful, centered, and resilient in fast-paced, high-stress environments to care for patients experiencing acute, life-threatening crises.
- Long-Term Goal: I am committed to furthering my education by earning my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. Getting my MSN will allow me to continue learning, growing, and evolving my knowledge base so that I can continually improve patient outcomes, integrate advanced evidence-based practices into my care, and serve as a leader in the nursing profession.
